Parte de la generación 2020-2021 de Jóvenes Creadores del programa nacional FONCA. Su obra fotográfica explora la auto-representación femenina a través del manejo del color y el diseño de producción. Trabaja el montaje de escenografía para reconstruir y representar la estética íntima fronteriza y del norte del país. Persia Campbell es Licenciada en Artes Visuales con especialidad en Medios Digitales (Fotografía y Video) por la Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez. Tiene formación en Dirección de arte con un taller en el Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC) de la UNAM. Concluye sus estudios de Maestría en el año 2018 en el programa de “Estudios y Procesos Creativos en Arte y Diseño” de la UACJ.
Ha presentado su trabajo en diferentes exposiciones nacionales e internacionales. Recientemente en el 2019 participó en el “Conversatorio de fotógrafas en la frontera” organizado por el Museo de Arte de Ciudad Juárez en colaboración con el INBAL en la mesa de artistas emergentes. Presentó su última serie “Apología de la selfie” (2019) como parte de la Jornadas "Mujeres sin Fronteras" en el espacio auto-gestivo CX16 en la misma frontera. Con su más reciente serie fotográfica “Itinerario de una mujer en la frontera” participó en la exposición organizada por Vasa Project de nombre “Magic Realisim. Latinas en México” Curada por Ximena Echague y Fernanda Pineda. Con esta misma serie resulta ganadora de los premios 15th Pollux Awards en Barcelona, en la categoría de auto-retrato en la sección de imágen individual, seleccionada en los premios IPA (International photography awards) en el primer lugar de la sub-categoría de auto-retrato y finalista en los premios LENS CULTURE AWARDS Art Photography Awards 2021.
Su primer cortometraje de nombre “Acta est Fabula” se estrenó en el 2019 en la selección oficial de El Paso Film Festival. Actualmente trabaja en su opera prima documental de nombre “Los años de Otto” largometraje ganador del apoyo “Chihuahua en Corto” de la Secretaria de Cultura del Estado, este mismo documental fue seleccionado para formar parte de “Plataforma MX” un taller de formación a cargo del festival de documental nacional “DOCS MX”. En el 2020 fue seleccionado en el Festival Latinoamericano de Cine de Quito en la sección de “Opera prima Latina”.

Her photographic work explores female self-representation through color management and production design. She works on stage design to reconstruct and represent the intimate border and northern Mexican aesthetic. Persia Campbell has a degree in Visual Arts with a specialty in Digital Media (Photography and Video) from the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez. She has training in Art Direction with a workshop at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC) of the UNAM in charge of the designer Salvador Parra. She concludes his Master's studies in 2018 in the "Studies and Creative Processes in Art and Design" program of the UACJ.
She has presented her work in different national and international exhibitions. Recently, in 2019, she participated in the "Border Photographers Conversation" organized by the Art Museum of Ciudad Juárez in collaboration with INBAL at the table of emerging artists. She presented her latest series "Apology of the Selfie" (2019) as part of the "Women without Borders" Conference at the CX16 self-management space on the same border. With her most recent photographic series "Itinerario de una mujer en la frontera" she participated in the exhibition organized by Vasa Project called "Magic Realisim.
